Android and iOS smartphones dominate the mobile device industry, but alternatives exist that don’t use either operating system. If you want a device that doesn’t rely on an OS designed by Apple or Google, consider these three options.

Acer Liquid Jade Primo

Acer’s Liquid Jade Primo has most of the features you would expect to find in the latest Android devices. Some of those attributes include a 5.5-inch AMOLED Full HD display, 21MP camera and Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor. It also comes with 32GB of storage that you can expand to 126GB by adding a microSD card. Unlike most phones, though, the Liquid Jade Primo has dual SIM slots that will appeal to international travelers.

The Acer Liquid Jade Primo runs on the Windows 10 operating system and retails for about $649.

Blu Win HD LTE

The Blu Win HD LTE might match your needs if you prefer spending less money on your smartphone. The Windows 8.1 device retails for about $149, making it one of the most affordable phones you can buy.

Despite this device’s low cost, it offers quite decent features, including a 5-inch ISP HD display, 8MP camera, dual SIM slots and 8GB of storage (you can upgrade to 32GB with a microSD card). As long as you don’t care about having the latest accessories, you can stay connected without straining your budget.

Microsoft Lumia 950 XL

Phablet fans should take a close look at the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL. This Windows 10 device has a 5.7-inch Quad HD display that makes it easy to read lengthy emails and use Microsoft Office apps. The device also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 20MP camera and dual SIM slots. You can expand its 32GB of storage to 200GB with a microSD card. Thanks to the smartphone’s USB-C port, it only takes 30 minutes of charging for the battery to reach 50 percent capacity.
