As a teenager, there’s always a constant fight to have the hottest app. Whatever is ‘trending’ at the time is a MUST HAVE. Even though we have an extensive catalogue of apps to choose from, it can still sometimes be difficult to find which apps are best suited for us. Well, there’s no need to worry as we have a list compiled for you of the top 5 apps we recommend for teenagers to use.
1. Best Fashion App: ‘Depop’
If there are any bargain hunting teens out there looking for the perfect vintage clothing or jewellery, Depop is the app for you. The app focuses on buying and selling clothes with over 7 million users. It works as an e-commerce app in the UK and not only is it exclusive to private sellers, it also features top brands. Personally, what I think is great about this fashion app is the way it integrates both the fashion and selling aspect with social media. You can follow users on the app and build your own community, which is a great example of an app appealing to teenagers looking to make some quick cash, build a following and treat yourself every once in a while (but not too often – I hear your back account say in the distance).
2. Best Photography App: ‘VSCO’
Whilst there’s no argument that the almighty Instagram is the greatest photography based app created, I thought it would be interesting to shed light on an app that you can use in relation to that app. VSCO is a photo editing app. You can take pictures (or give access to your photo library) and edit your photos with either the set filters they provide or by manually adjusting effects to your preference. What’s great about this app is that it gives you the best free features and effects that can really bring out certain elements you didn’t think were important within your photos, meaning that your Instagram photos will most definitely be popping after downloading VSCO.[clickToTweet tweet=”As a teenager, there’s always a constant fight to have the latest and hottest app.” quote=”As a teenager, there’s always a constant fight to have the latest and hottest app.” theme=”style5″]
3. Best Book App: ‘Wattpad’
If you enjoy escaping into another world and getting lost in the most immersive stories that you find interesting, Wattpad is that app for you. Once logging in, there’s no doubt that you’ll be able to find a story just for you, regardless of how niche you may think the topic is. You will find something you can relate to and you will easily become attached to stories that are created by other people. However, it doesn’t stop there. Not only is there an extensive catalogue of stories to choose from, you can add to that catalogue with stories that you create completely by yourself. Needless to say that your story could have the potential to.. you know… GO VIRAL. So get yourself on this app if it sounds of interest to you.
4. Best Music App: ‘Spotify’
I’m not sure about you but music is everything to me. For other music loving teenagers, Spotify is great at recommending new artists and songs that you’ll enjoy. It is great at integrating social elements and music, 2 things I’m sure everybody reading loves. You can share playlists with your friends and see what they’re listening to (so people listening to Britney Spears I would look at hiding that if I were you). It has a special pricing offer catered just for students starting at £4.99 a month.
5. Best Organising App: ‘Countdown+’
Never miss an important date or event again by downloading Countdown+. Here you are given a calendar with a countdown timer constantly ticking, alerting you when your event is approaching. So, if you have an exam, a date with a special person or a birthday to remember, you’ll never have to worry about forgetting as this calendar has your back.
